Small family business where we basically tell our story. 10 years ago we started to make the transition from the old business (Fashion) to Local Accommodation. We embarked on this new project with soul and heart. The creative part has always been present in our lives and its very visible in this family project.
The Modern & Recycled guest house (MoRe) was built from scratch and combines upcycled (made by us) materials with some special features. Some of the upcycle materials used by us are part of the local history of the old town of Machico.
We are door to door with the best restaurants in Machico. One minute walk and you are in the beach (sandy and Rocky), the airport is 5 minutes drive, the bus station is 5 minutes walk. if you like to hike you are in the right place.
All the rooms have private bathrooms, tv, wi-fi .The guests have a common kitchen and a balcony where they can cook and make new friends.
Upon your arrival we will give you some special informations in what to do, see and eat in our beautifull city and Island.

Machico was the capital of Madeira for 20 years, starting out as a small fishing village to now be considered one of the localities of Madeira with the best natural conditions (Sea and Mountain) and potential for sports. Modalities such as trail running, enduro, Stand up paddle, surfing are just some of the examples. examples.
Watch the sunrise, sitting in a calm, quiet place with a fantastic view of the horizon, Ponta de São Lourenço. horizon, Ponta de São Lourenço and Desertas. Breathtaking is how I describe it.
